The networking requirements for the Mount Kelvin 420 BACnet gateway are the same as the networking requirements for a conventional RCU.
In addition to these requirements, it should be noted that the BACnet/IP network and outbound connection to the Internet need to be available from the same physical ethernet port, and IP address assignment must happen via DHCP.
Networking requirements
- Mount Kelvin 420 BACnet gateway must be installed on-site
- Mount Kelvin 420 BACnet gateway must meet the same networking requirements as the room control unit
- BACnet/IP network and outbound connection to the Internet must be available from the same physical ethernet port
- IP address assignment must happen via DHCP
